Hideaway Pizza is coming to Enid.

The Oklahoma-based pizza chain announced Tuesday, July 16, 2019, it is signing on to join The District, a retail development under construction at Cleveland and Garriott, formerly known as Lahoma Courts.

The Enid location, expected to open late summer or fall 2020, will be the chain’s 20th store, Hideaway spokeswoman Janie Harris said. It will also be the farthest west the company has expanded in its 62-year history, a distinction currently belonging to Yukon.

Hideaway is the third business committed to coming to the development, joining Jiffy Trip and Colton’s Steak House. The City of Enid is also working to close a deal with Apex Cinemas to bring in a new movie theater.

Harris said the restaurant will open at the northeastern corner of the development once the building planned for that section is complete.

“We are going to move in where the old fire station was, and we will be facing north,” Harris said.

Development blueprints drawn up in February indicate the restaurant will be more than 6,500 square feet.

Demolition still is ongoing at The District, clearing the 48 properties to install new utilities and prepare the lots for construction.

Kyle Williams, head of Anchored Capital 3 LLC, the development group in charge of The District project, said they are “thrilled to add Hideaway Pizza to The District.”

“Hideaway has a great reputation as the highest quality pizza restaurant in Oklahoma,” he said. “This brings a second lunch or dinner offering to Enid’s newest entertainment development.”
