“A diverse economy ensures long-term stability and gives our community the ability to adapt through unpredictable and changing economic conditions. We have strong industries represented in defense, health care, manufacturing, education, agriculture and transportation.”

The largest employer, according to the 2025-26 Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce Membership Directory, is Vance Air Force Base, with employment of 2,506, including military, Department of Defense civilians and contractors.

Second on the list is Tyson Foods, with 1,398 employees, while Enid Public Schools is the other employer with more than 1,000 employees at 1,200.

Rounding out the top five are Enid’s two hospitals, Integris Health Enid Hospital and St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, with employment of 950 and 675, respectively, according to the chamber.

The rest of the top 10 are city of Enid, 530 employees; Walmart, 355; Marsau Enterprises, 310; PT, 300; and Koch Fertilizer, 295.

“Our major employers do more than provide jobs — they invest in Enid,” Mack said. “They support workforce development, contribute to community life and help make Enid a place where people want to live and work.”

According to the chamber, there are 28 businesses in Enid that have at least 100 employees.

“Enid continues to serve as an economic hub for Northwest Oklahoma, and our employer base is a big reason why businesses and families continue to choose this community,” Mack said.

“The success of Enid’s economy is tied directly to the strength of our employers — from our largest anchor institutions to our locally grown companies — and together they’re helping move Enid forward,” she said.
