Understanding the Enid Hotel Tax Initiative
Join Enid Young Professionals for an evening of networking and community education as Enid Mayor David Mason and David Henneke present an informational overview of the proposed Enid Hotel Tax Initiative, which will appear on the August 25 ballot.
This nonpartisan presentation is intended to help attendees better understand the proposal by explaining how hotel taxes work, what the initiative would do if approved, and how the revenue would be used. Guests will also have the opportunity to ask questions in an open, educational setting. The proposal would ask voters to consider increasing Enid’s hotel tax from 8% to 12%, with revenue generated primarily from overnight hotel stays.
Whether you’ve been following the discussion or are just beginning to learn about the initiative, this event offers an opportunity to hear the facts and become better informed before Election Day.
