The Work in Enid Award is a talent attraction program designed to bring skilled professionals to Enid by helping pay down student loan debt. Qualified applicants can receive up to $10,000 in student loan repayment assistance when they commit to living and working in Enid, Oklahoma.

How it works

Selected applicants receive up to $10,000 total award which is paid as $1,000 quarterly installments over 2.5 years.

Recipients must remain employed and live in the Enid area throughout the award period to continue receiving payments.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must not currently live in the Enid area

  • Must hold a degree from a four-year college or university, degree from a two-year community college, or a certificate from a trade or technical program

  • Must have existing student loan debt tied to that degree or certificate (proof will be required)
  • Must demonstrate a commitment to making Enid their primary residence

  • Must secure a job with an Enid-area employer or a full-time remote professional position within 120 days of selection

  • Preference will be given to applicants who show a desire for community engagement

Application Process

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis and awards are distributed based on available funding and applicant eligibility. Selected applicants will be contacted with next steps.

There is no strict deadline—early application is encouraged.
