Enid Regional Development Alliance is offering a $5,000 grant to help support small local businesses.
Only one will be selected, and any business with six employees or fewer can apply.
The MicroEnterprise Grant funding can be put to use “for any expense necessary for the operation, management, formation or expansion of the company,” according to ERDA.
“Small business owners are an integral part of Enid and economic growth in the community. When running a small business, finances are tight. This grant will allow the recipient to use the funds for rent, payroll, inventory, software, marketing, equipment, or renovations,” said Lisa Powell, ERDA executive director.
Applicants will be judged on their business’ viability, growth potential and overall economic impact to the community, according to ERDA.
Additionally, the recipient must partner with ERDA and Autry Technology Center for coaching and technical assistance.
The window to apply is open until 5 p.m. May 1. Applications can be emailed to trent@growenid.com, or by delivering to the ERDA office at 2020 Willow Run, Suite 100.
