Enrollment still is open for this year’s Entrepreneurs Inspire Bootcamp at Autry Technology Center, which starts Tuesday.
Autry is partnering with Northwestern Oklahoma State University, Northern Oklahoma College and Enid Regional Development Alliance to offer the crash course in business startup and management.
Curriculum will cover business models, operations, accounting strategies, spotting red flags, hiring employees, vendor sourcing, marketing, pricing and sales.
Classes will take place 6-8:30 p.m. on Oct. 3, 10, 12, 17, 24 and 26.
This six-session workshop series is designed to educate those interested in starting, expanding or operating a small business.
Participants will learn how to identify and establish a strategic planning process for a business through presentations on topics ranging from financial and managerial accounting, reducing risk and legal considerations, as well as marketing and identifying funding strategies.
The boot camp will kick off with a reception at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday for entrepreneur Cyndi Kane. Kane is perhaps better known as “Hyacinth” from Ree Drummond’s television show “The Pioneer Woman.”
Kane recently worked with Drummond on launching the Pioneer Woman Mercantile in Pawhuska.
The reception is by-invitation, and invitations are free and available to the public at Autry’s front reception desk or in the James W. Strate Center for Business Development, south of Autry’s main building.
Kane will speak at the opening of the boot camp at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
