The Enid Regional Development Alliance is marking National Economic Development Week from May 4-9, 2020 to celebrate the contributions of positive economic development and explain the role of the profession in our local community.
“The role of ERDA is to assure economic prosperity in Enid and the surrounding area. Throughout the past year, the ERDA staff and board have worked collaboratively with our city officials and members on business retention and recruitment, talent attraction, quality of life, and retail recruitment” said Lisa Powell, Executive Director.
In February, ERDA hosted a visioning session with member companies and community leaders. During the session, ideas were formed the possibilities to grow Enid over the next ten years. Even with the COVID-19 pandemic, that won’t halt moving forward with the initiatives. “Due to the impact COVID-19 is having on the economy, communities need to make economic development a priority. Moving forward, ERDA is going to continue to support local businesses and take the next steps in implementing the ideas shared at the visioning session” said Powell.
