Darren Janes literally grew up in the staffing industry. His mother Kathy Janes started TPI Staffing Service out of her home in 1989. That summer, at age 14, he served as her first employee, answering phones and interviewing applicants while she met with clients.

A graduate of Oklahoma State, Darren returned to the family business in 2006 to help grow and expand the company. It has since gone from one employee in one office to 17 full-time employees in two offices who connect thousands of workers with seasonal and permanent positions in a wide range of industries each year.

Darren credits Enid with providing a foundation of lasting business relationships that led to a flourishing business and rewarding career. “We have some clients that have been with us since the day we opened our doors,” he notes.

He also believes in giving back, and Enid encourages community involvement. One highlight of his extensive volunteerism has been chairing the annual golf tournament for United Way of Northwest Oklahoma, a fun event that raised the most money ever in its history last year.

“I feel really fortunate to have grown up here, and that’s why I came back after college. It’s a very warm, welcoming community that fosters a great family atmosphere.”   — Darren Janes, president of TPI Staffing Service, Inc.
