Enid, Oklahoma is home to the Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Product Center, where new value-added enterprises are born. Their research laboratories house the latest technology and equipment necessary to test new processes, compounds, and ideas. With a pilot-processing facility, ideas tested in the lab can then be implemented on a larger scale.
As a benefit to the agricultural community as a whole, the Robert M. Kerr Food & Agricultural Products Center offers educational programs and seminars where they share their research, insights and best practices. This has allowed agricultural processors and entrepreneurs to remain on the forefront of cutting-edge value-added processing and technology. Some of these events can also be used by industry professionals looking for accreditation, such as their Basic HACCP workshop.
Their events can also be attended by food lovers. For example, they are hosting a home baker training on March 29th and April 12th.
