A new locally-owned steakhouse is coming to Enid in the spring of 2018.

Land Run Steakhouse will be located at 3710 W Owen K Garriott Rd., in the former El Chico restaurant
location. The Zakuti family, owners of Napoli’s Italian Restaurant in Enid, purchased the building in 2017,
starting speculation on what type of restaurant would go into the Garriott location.

Tony Zakuti, who will operate Land Run Steakhouse, says they chose a steakhouse to fill a void in Enid’s
restaurant landscape.

“We decided to open a steakhouse since we don’t really have a restaurant here that is dedicated just to
steak,” Zakuti said. “Having the location on Garriott become available was a great opportunity.”
He also says they chose the name Land Run Steakhouse to connect with Enid’s original heritage as one of the
claim sites during the Cherokee Strip Land Run of 1893.

Zakuti is still finalizing the menu specifics and pricing but says he’s excited about the outlook for his new
restaurant.

“Enid needs a steakhouse,” Zakuti said. “I can’t wait to get Land Run Steakhouse up and running.”
A specific opening date will be announced in the near future.
