Westgate Shopping Center earns first Keep Enid Beautiful Point of Pride Business Award
Enid, Okla., July 5, 2016 – Westgate Shopping Center at the corner of Cleveland and Owen K Garriott Rd. in Enid is the first recipient of the Keep Enid Beautiful Point of Pride Business Award for its efforts in upgrading the look of our city. The award is a new program by Keep Enid Beautiful recognizing outstanding landscaping and visual appearance that enhances their commercial neighborhood and in turn, the city of Enid.
In announcing the award, Keep Enid Beautiful notes that Westgate Shopping Center, owned by Mike Wright, has done an excellent job of prioritizing landscaping, investing time, energy and resources to make a definite statement of improvement for the community. The corner was the first developed by Steven Simmons of the Enid business Curb Appeal. Wright also points out that Curb Appeal has recently completed the corner at Garriott and Arthur, one block east of Cleveland which serves as the eastern entrance to Westgate Shopping Center.
Keep Enid Beautiful will be announcing more business award winners. Anyone may nominate a business establishment they feel worthy of recognition. The final decision will be made by Keep Enid Beautiful.
Another award to be presented as merited by the organization is the Keep Enid Beautiful Exceptional Business Transformation Award. This will be given to the establishment demonstrating the most significant landscaping and visual improvement to an existing commercial property.
Nominations for both the KEB Point of Pride Business Award and the KEB Exceptional Business Transformation Award may be submitted at the Enid Welcome Center, 201 W Garriott, or by email to KEB co-chairman Suzy Meibergen at SuzyInEnid@suddenlink.net.
